Philosophy
As a Health Coach Allie differs from other health practitioners in both her approach and philosophy of what it means to be and get healthy.
Her practice is rooted in the belief that all aspects of an individual—body, mind, and spirit—must be taken into consideration in the quest for optimal health and wellness. While food and nutrition form the foundation of her program she works with her clients well beyond that and
By considering the whole person
The concept of integrative medicine arises from a need to appreciate the wholeness of an individual person. This means learning to view a person from a biological/psychological/social/spiritual perspective.
considers the whole person - many different factors that make up the health and well being of an individual,
these are interconnected so when one is out of balance it affects other areas and shows up in other areas of their lives
Aliments and disease are a result of imbalance in the body, gets to the root cause of health issues
by gaining proper balance in life and in alignment one can achieve ultimate health - -
health cannot be simplified as the absences of disease and must include the multifactorial elements that play a role
Her practice is rooted in the belief that dis-ease common aliments that plague us manifests as a result of imbalances within our bodies (Internally) and in our lives (externally). This imbalance shows up in the form of headaches, cravings, mood swings, inflammation, gut issues, low energy, premature aging, skin issues, digestive issues as a result of either from improper nutrition or lifestyle choices or lifestyle factors such as home life, work, relationships, or physical activity. Thus She strives to treat and counsel the whole person to get to the root cause of her clients issues approach from preventative care instead of sick care. While food and nutrition form the foundation of her program she works with her clients well beyond that. This is unobtainable or about perfection
For example is emotional eating
With current health care system made up of doctors with isolated specialties, focused on alleviating symptoms instead of taking the quick fixes, Allie’s preventative-care instead of sick-care approach

Health is more than just the absence of disease. Health is definite as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well being, not merely the absence of disease. True healing is not simply alleviating symptoms but uncovering idenifitying root causes of illness and faciliating change that prevents - facilitate change that reduces stress, improves diet, promotes exercise, and increase the persons sense of community and connection. Doing this will help improve the balance of health of the body, min and spirit that may result in the ability to sicountinue
Holisti / Integrated. Takes into account the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle, all factors that influence health, wellness, and disease are taken into consideration, body, mind, spirit, community, environment
Health promoting behaviors and prevention of illness
Partnership - not broken, the individual is the authority of themselves and possesses the ability to heal through the guidance of a Health Coach, promote self exploration, and self care
Allie’s practice is rooted in the belief that all illness and dis-ease are a result of imbalances within our bodies from either nutritional deficiencies or improper lifestyle choices. Unlike most health practitioners she understands that there are many factors that contribute to the overall well-being of an individual and works with her clients to get to the root cause of their health issues.
She creates the space for her clients to explore and articulate their health and in doing so encourages them to take back authority over their healing instead of relying on what dictated to them by a doctor who sees them for 15-minutes a year or unpersonalized health tips from media and newspapers.

Eat Well, Live Well
People who eat well, live well, look after themselves are naturally happier people
Eating well is the foundation to living well
If primary foods are out of balance you cannot thrive, these components truly nourish your mind, body and soul
Flexible: If you are looking to be detictated No one right way of eating. An approach that emphasizes the importance of Whole Foods and a plant-based diet. For some it doesn’t matter what they eat and true health comes from leaving a dysfunctional career or falling in love. The key to health is discovering each person’s individual needs which differs from person to person and is a specific as each individuals genetics.
In addition to this as professional trained Health Coach, Allie works to peel away the layers to get to the root cause of any imbalances instead of only addressing symptoms typical medical practitioners.
Compassionate: A permanent shift in health may seem like a (big) challenge requiring a lot of dedication, but our approach is not about acquiring more self-discipline or willpower. Instead it’s about slowing down, listening to your body, experimenting with what works for you, reestablishing a realtionship with your body, and discovering what feeds you, what nourishes you, and ultimately what makes your life extraordinary sets you on fire.
Some concepts we will explore during our work together:
Primary Food:
Bio-individuality we all know we are what we eat but for some reason no one knows what to eat. Is dairy a good source of calcium that strengthens our bones or does it cause inflammation and full of hormones?
Crowding Out
Deconstructing Cravings
